Watford star Odion Ighalo insists that the Hornets' priority, despite their lofty position in the league table, remains to secure their survival in the Premier League.
The Hertfordshire club currently have 28 points from 17 games and they are just one point off a Champions League place but Ighalo insists getting enough points to remain clear of the relegation zone is still the major goal.
Ighalo, who has scored 12 league goals this season, said: "We're not getting carried away. We can't think too much about being one point off the Champions League places because our first target is to collect 12 more points to preserve our Premier League status next season.
"That was our first objective at the start and it stays our objective now. We're not safe yet.
"Some people may have been surprised by us, but when I walk out with this team every week, and we work hard for each other, run together and fight for every ball, so I'm not surprised any more - but we need to keep going like this.
"This result [3-0 win against Liverpool] may make top teams respect us more and not just treat us as a promoted side who are not going to be around the Premier League for long."
