Watford are eyeing Rennes midfielder James Léa-Siliki.
Foot Mercato says Watford have been kicked into action after Porto made a €5m offer for Lea-Siliki yesterday.
The proposal falls short of Rennes' valuation which leaves the door open to Watford making a counter offer.
The Hornets are in talks with the youngster's minders today and plan to follow up with a bid to Rennes.
Léa-Siliki also has an offer from Rennes to extend terms. His current deal runs to 2021.
