Watford are believed to be close to signing Mario Suarez from Fiorentina.

According to Sky Sports, the Hornets will complete the deal on Tuesday which will see the Spanish midfielder arrive at Vicarage Road on a four-year deal.

The move will see 28-year-old Suarez reunite with Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores after the pair worked together at Atletico Madrid.

Suarez left the Vicente Calderon to join Fiorentina last summer but has made just 13 appearances for the Italian club this season.
