Watford goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon is wanted by Aston Villa.

The Sun says Villa boss Steve Bruce will ask the Hornets to lend the Romanian to the claret and blues for their next term in the Championship.

The 31-year-old hasn't had much luck dislodging Heurelho Gomes during his two years at Vicarage Road.

Indeed in that time he's had loan spells in Spain with Deportivo La Coruna and more recently in the Championship itself with Nottingham Forest.
