Watford are on the verge of completing the signing of Quique Sanchez Flores as their new manager.

According to the Daily Mail, the newly-promoted Hornets are confident they will secure Flores in the coming weeks.

Watford's negotiations with Slavisa Jokanovic, who led them to the Premier League, have broken down after the Serbian's wage demands surpassed what the Vicarage Road outfit could pay him.

Now it is believed that former Atletico Madrid boss Flores, who has also managed Getafe, Valencia and Benfica during his managerial career, is set to make Hertfordshire his new home ahead of the 2015/16 Premier League season.
