Watford captain Troy Deeney: Why I celebrated my Chelsea goal like that...

Watford captain Troy Deeney has explained his controversial goal celebration in victory against Chelsea last night.

Deeney celebrated his goal against Chelsea by sticking up both of his middle fingers.

Explaining why he made the gesture, Deeney told BBC Radio 5 Live: "Obviously we have had a lot of transfer talk and transfer speculation.

"I've kept quiet because I realise talking gets me in trouble.

"That was a case of letting everyone know I saw everything and I am still here."

Deeney made the gesture after he scored Watford's opener from the penalty spot in their 4-1 demolition of ten-man Chelsea.
