Watford boss Gianfranco Zola has welcomed their loan deal for West Bromwich Albion midfielder George Thorne.

Thorne could make his debut at Middlesbrough today after joining on loan from West Brom until January.

Zola said: "George has got a lot of quality, and physicality. Those are the things we need. He is a sitting midfielder, first of all, but he has quality on the ball so he can still fulfill the things we need to do."
