Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores has admitted that he still believes in Heurelho Gomes in the wake of the goalkeeper's recent howlers.

The Brazilian was directly at fault for both Leicester City's goals in the 2-1 defeat before the international break.

But ahead of the weekend's clash with Manchester United, boss Flores said: "Gomes has been happy - completely happy. He knows accidents are possible in football.

"I said to him when we were coming back from Leicester: 'Heurelho I love you more than before.' We love him.

"Accidents are possible with goalkeepers. But if you analyse his season it is amazing."
