Watford boss Sanchez Flores happy beating Norwich: For the fans

Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores was delighted with their 2-0 win at Norwich City.

Gerard Deulofeu's goal after 76 seconds after some lax defending from Emiliano Buendia set Watford on their way and Andre Gray's close-range flick from a Deulofeu cross secured the points.

But they had to survive for 25 minutes with 10 men after Christian Kabasele was dismissed for his second yellow card.

Sanchez Flores said: "We need positive energy and scoring early is how you feed the energy of the players.

"To progress in the right reaction this is the only thing we can do. You can believe in what you are doing but you need results. The first goal of football is to win.

"The players were really strong. They kept their shape and everything was really good. The fans were for a long time waiting, waiting, waiting. This was for the fans, they deserve it.

"We want to play again quickly. Every single match is very tough. No relax, no thinking everything is done. We are there at the bottom and we need to fight."

He added: "It is very good not to concede goals. It is good for us to feel strong and solid. We need to fight and to believe. If we are able to do that we will be able to transmit good positive energies into results.

"I think for us the first feeling is that it is something special for the fans. We wanted to dedicate it to the fans because they have supported for a long time.

"We will work hard until the players are used to this level of performance."
