Watford boss Gracia pleased with 'focus' for Woking FA Cup win

Watford did just enough to see off FA Cup opponents Woking on Sunday.

Watford captain Troy Deeney came off the substitutes' bench to wrap up their FA Cup third-round win over non-league Woking.

The Premier League outfit made hard work of seeing off their hosts, Will Hughes giving them a first-half lead before Deeney was introduced late on to secure a 2-0 victory in Surrey.

Hornets boss Javi Gracia said: "Before coming we knew it would be a demanding game instead of just the difference being the levels of the teams, but the players started playing very focused, knowing what they had to do.

"We scored early and we had the control. We knew, while it was only one goal, we needed to kill the game, we didn't do it until the second half but it was a good performance."

He added: "We have a good squad. The players that played today didn't play the last games and I know all of them are ready and, like they showed today, they are available and ready to compete.

"The result is not as important. It's more important for me to see my players in a good condition and with a good attitude today."
