Watford are launching a bid for Getafe goalkeeper Vicente Guaita.

The Independent says the Hornets are keen on the 30-year-old shot-stopper whose contract expires at the end of the season.

His release clause is some £7m but Getafe would likely sell him for around half that to cash in on their asset.

Besiktas are also interested and may be willing to offer better personal terms than the Vicarage Road club.

Guaita is a former Valencia No1.
