Watford add Mauro Zarate to Premier League squad

Watford have added Mauro Zarate to their Premier League squad.

The Watford Observer says following Nordin Amrabat's season-long loan to Leganes, which was finalised shortly after the squad list was confirmed on Friday, the Premier League have allowed head coach Marco Silva to swap the two players around.

Zarate played 45 minutes of a behind-closed-doors friendly against Millwall on Friday, his first first-team action of any kind since suffering the injury.

Since his move to Watford from Fiorentina on transfer deadline day in January, the 30-year-old played just 206 minutes of top-flight football before suffering his injury.
