WATCH: Wycombe Wanderers striker Adebayo Akinfenwa 'appy to make McDonald's move

Wycombe Wanderers striker Adebayo “Bayo" Akinfenwa known as the 'Beast' has partnered with McDonald's to sign a deal and promote the 'Appy Day deals available exclusively on the My McDonald's App.

The skilled striker who is known for switching into “Beast Mode" on the pitch, signs a deal with McDonald's in a mock transfer video, poking fun at the usual press conference interviews throughout January and the Transfer Deadline Window.

Larger than life Bayo is captured answering questions on why he's signed with McDonald's for just one week, and why he's changing his name to “App-infenwa"; bluntly replying: “They thought it would be quite funny. You know what, it is quite funny and because they paid me!"

Bayo continues to flex his proverbial muscles in this mock interview set-up, where the “Breaking News" story unfolds. Rather than scoring goals, the signing is announced as a metaphor for promoting the great deals available on the My McDonald's App until the end of January.

When asked if he is up to the challenge, Bayo responded: “Come on now, when you have been involved in as many deals as I have, you've got to back yourself!", reminding the viewers of his calibre and prowess in clinching a sweet deal.

Adebayo Akinfenwa said: “It was lots of fun making this video. McDonald's know I have an eye for a bad-boy deal, having signed for a number of clubs throughout my career, you could even call me an expert in finding the best deal! It was just too good an opportunity to turn down, much like the sweet promotions available via the My McDonald's App for the rest of January. Just call me App-infenwa!"
