Captain-for-the-night Harry Maguire was caught out before Manchester United's win at Europa League opponents Partizan Belgrade.
Just seconds into the group game when he forgot to stick around for the coin toss.
BT Sport cameras captured Partizan skipper and goalkeeper Vladimir Stojkovic waiting patiently for the England international to join him at the centre circle.
And when he failed to arrive, the referee and his assistants were forced to wave Maguire over to take part in the coin toss and exchange pennants.
