Jan Vertonghen took a crash course in NFL defending on Tuesday.

The Tottenham defender was put through his paces by Buffalo Bills cornerback Ron Brooks at Hotspur Way as part of a community day showcasing American football.

Brooks showed the kids how to do it by crunching Belgian defender Vertonghen with a customary NFL tackle, but fear not Spurs fans, your star centre-half was protected by padding.

The Bills are in town to prepare for Sunday's NFL clash with Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley.
