A star with Manchester United, Bruno Fernandes began building his reputation in Italy during a superb spell with Sampdoria.

The Portugal international enjoyed a special year with Samp, where he established himself as a big fans' favourite with his goals out of midfield.

He scored 5 goals in 33 Serie A appearances during the campaign, helping Samp to finish in tenth position. The form he displayed earning a big money move back home to Portugal and Sporting CP.
