Chelsea legend John Terry had to apologise to Mateo Kovacic last night - after crushing his hand shaking it!
The Aston Villa assistant manager was back at Stamford Bridge and was welcomed with open arms by his former club.
After Dean Smith's side went down 2-1 at his old stomping ground, Terry tried to keep the peace with the present Blues players.
But as midfielder Kovacic headed towards the tunnel, Chelsea legend JT clearly clasped hands too hard and hurt the Croatian, reports The Sun.
Wincing Kovacic - who played the full 90 minutes - visibly let out a yelp and quickly hurried off, shaking and grabbing his hand to try and numb the obvious pain.
Hard-as-nails Terry, who played 717 times for the West London club and won 14 major trophies, then held up his hand to say sorry for the accidental damage done.
I think Terry just broke Kovacic's hand giving him a high five pic.twitter.com/QG1rM2pp5D — Sam (@Sam_Hamlet) December 4, 2019
