Lindelof played for Benfica from 2012-2017 and appears to have become fairly proficient in Portuguese, with lip-readers thinking they spotted what he said in the language.
It is suspected that he said: "Vai tomar no cu, vai tomar no cu, filho da puta!" In English, this can be roughly translated into: “Go f**k yourself, son of a b****!"
Wolves have a strong contigent of Portuguese speakers, including manager Nuno Espirito Santo and key players such as Jota, Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho, and it appears Lindelof was keen for his point to be made as clearly as possible.
It remains to be seen if the player will face any disciplinary action for his outburst, and it is not known what caused him to react so angrily.
Nah who is Lindelof saying this to?— Mig-L (@M1guelCh1nes) March 16, 2019
