WATCH: Man City players sing of Liverpool 'victims' and fans 'battered on the streets'

Manchester City players have been filmed singing a derogatory chant towards Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool, mentioning them as “victims" and speaking of their fans being “battered on the streets".

Kyle Walker, Ilkay Gundogan and Vincent Kompany are among the City players who can be seen passing around the Premier League trophy at the back of a City plane.

“All the way to Kiev, To end up in defeat, Crying in the stands, And battered on the streets, Kompany injured Salah, Victims of it all, Sterling won the double, The Scousers won f*** all, Allez, allez, allez."

There has been swift condemnation from Liverpool fans, who believe the section “battered on the streets" is in reference to Sean Cox, a Reds supporter who was left fighting for his life in a coma after being punched by a Roma fan before the 2018 Champions League semi final.
