Borussia Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl mocked the Super League breakaway at a media conference on Tuesday.

Eberl branded it not a group of super clubs but super debtors whom have been living beyond their means and are now trying to find a way to rescue themselves. The Gladbach chief particularly had words for Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, the chairman of the project, after the Spaniard had claimed the game would fold unless it took the Super League route.
