Rio Ferdinand and Steven Gerrard have attempted to wind each other up regarding Antoine Griezmann.
Prior to last night's Champions League clash between Leicester City and Atletico Madrid at the King Power Stadium, Liverpool legend Gerrard spoke of his excitement at getting to watch French striker Griezmann live.
Manchester United continue to be heavily linked with the 26-year-old and that speculation became a point of discussion on BT Sport, with former Red Devils star Ferdinand taking a sensible approach.
Ferdinand said: “Well, what's best suited to him?"
To which Gerrard replied: "Get him as far away from Manchester as you can find!"
Before Ferdinand quipped: "Old Trafford looks like the perfect destination!"
