Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has hailed former teammate Wayne Rooney after his wonder goal for DC United.
Rooney netted DC United's winning goal against against Orlando City from inside his own half to move onto nine league goals for the season.
Needless to say, the strike garnered plenty of attention.
After Rooney shared a video of the strike on his Instagram page, a number of former teammates commented on the post, with Martial, Patrice Evra, Dimitar Berbatov and Edwin van der Sar all commending the ex-United skipper.
Martial simply wrote: "Legend" alongside three flame emojis, while Evra commented: "I think you need a bigger pitch. Too easy for you."
Van der Sar questioned the goalkeeping on show while Berbatov wrote: "Yes Wazzaaaa".
