The veteran fullback has signed for Barca to the end of the season, though will not be clear to play until after January. Here we see him talking about defending the colours of the shirt during his first spell at the club.

A free agent from Sao Paulo, Alves can begin training with Barca this week.

The Brazilian won everything there is in the club game with Barca during his previous spell and was a teammate of new coach Xavi.
