WATCH: Cops stop Fleetwood boss Barton driving out of stadium after Stendel incident

Local police prevented Fleetwood Town boss Joey Barton from leaving the stadium after an alleged clash with Barnsley manager Daniel Stendel on Saturday.

Footage shows the moment Barton tried to speed out of the Oakwell Stadium car park before police rushed to prevent him from driving away.

The Sun reports it comes after he was accused of assaulting Barnsley boss Daniel Stendel in the tunnel during a post-match brawl.

Barton's side earlier slipped to a heated 4-2 defeat with Harry Souttar sent off in the second-half of the game

And reports suggest former Burnley midfielder Barton and Stendel had to be separated by stewards and police in the tunnel - with Barnsley club officials even filming the melee.
