Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel admits he substituted Germany international pair Kai Havertz and Timo Werner for failing to meet standards in victory over Porto.
Tuchel explained hooking both attackers and replacing them with Christian Pulisic and Olivier Giroud during the 2-0 Champions League quarterfinal first-leg win last night. The Chelsea manager was delighted with the performances of his two players off the bench, while also admitting Havertz and Werner had failed to deliver during the game.
