Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce joked that he was so impressed with Kevin De Bruyne he may try to sign him.

Manchester City completed an FA Cup quarter final win over Newcastle at the weekend, with the Belgian starring in the showdown.

And Bruce admitted after the game that De Bruyne was a class apart on the field.

In his interview, Bruce jokingly grabbed a grinning De Bruyne and told the reporter: "He's going to stay here.

"He's going to stay here, come here - that's an exclusive out of Newcastle tonight.

"He's had enough of Manchester City and he's going to come and play for Newcastle."
