WATCH: Agent of Real Madrid striker Benzema slams Deschamps 'Why did you do it?!'

The agent of Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has taken aim at France coach Didier Deschamps.

Karim Djaziri has stoked the flames of his client's controversial and premature World Cup farewell by posting pictures proving Benzema could have played a part in the tournament.

There have been plenty of rumours, comments and reports about the way Benzema was sent home from the French camp before the World Cup kicked off, after picking up an injury in training.

Now, Djaziri is looking to set the record straight about his client's minor injury.

The Real Madrid striker's representative has used Twitter to confirm the timeframe of his injury and post video proof.

"I consulted three specialists who confirmed the diagnosis that Benzema could have been fit from the last 16 onwards, at least enough to be on the bench," began Djaziri's message.

"Why did you ask him to leave so quickly?"

The timescale for his return was three weeks from November 19, but Didier Deschamps decided to do without him entirely, but not to replace the player in the squad.

When France took on Poland on December 4, Benzema had already made a full recovery and headed off on holiday.
