Aston Villa fullback Stephen Warnock may perform a U-turn and stay at Villa Park.

Warnock, bought for £8m by Martin O'Neill, was frozen out by Gerard Houllier last season and had no future while he was in charge.

But he now says: "I need to sit down with the manager and see what the future holds.

"Hopefully, we'll speak soon."
