Stephen Warnock is convinced Aston Villa teammate Brad Friedel is destined for management.

Warnock is constantly impressed by the way Friedel looks after himself off the pitch and insists the deep-thinking 39-year-old could be cut out for coaching.

"I think he probably is a future coach in the making," said Warnock.

"He's got a good education about the game and he knows how it should go and things like that and he's got good tactical knowledge so possibly.

"I think he's that type of character. I think he's a clever guy and a very good thinker, but that doesn't always make a very good manager so you just never know where it's going to take you."
