Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse is full of praise for the club's transfer work.

Ward-Prowse has highlighted how Saints have stayed competitive despite a raft of stars over the years.

He said, "I think it says a lot about the club's ability to recruit players.

"It's football. People come and go. They came and did incredibly well and helped lift the club.

"There are many who have come and gone in my time, but I have just tried to stay focused on being the best player I can be. I'm still there and I'm doing what I love so I just enjoy it."
