Crystal Palace defender Joel Ward is delighted for Marouane Chamakh over his recent goalscoring form.

The Moroccan endured a difficult start to his Palace career since joining from Arsenal in the summer but has burst into life in recent weeks, forming an impressive strike partnership with Cameron Jerome.

But Ward says the former Bordeaux man could provide the magic Palace need to escape the relegation scrap.

"We all know Marouane is quality," he said.
