Ward admits considering his Leicester future

Danny Ward admits he needs to speak with Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers about his future.

The back-up Foxes keeper has been brilliant at Euro 2020 to help Wales into the last 16 where they face Denmark on Saturday.

Ward admits his international success has now wetted his appetite to feature more domestically.

When quizzed, Wrexham-born Ward, 27, replied: “Of course yeah.

“But at the minute I am away with Wales and concentrating on the job we have got here.

“When I come back what will be, will be. I am sure there will be conversations with the relevant people. But at the minute my job is to try and keep the ball out of the back of the net and help Wales get through to the next round.

“I am enjoying myself. It is a good feeling, it is something I have waited a long time for.

“It is nice to go out and show people what I can do on the pitch.

“We are playing well and getting some success.

“My mindset has always been about being a No.1.

“If you are sat on the bench you want to be playing.

“You can't doubt yourself.

“I have had a tough few years but it is something I am relishing and enjoying.

“You have to keep believing in your own ability and work hard."
