Liverpool defender Tiago Ilori wants to leave.

The Sun says he was desperate to join Porto.

But Reds bosses had plans in place to send him to a Greek club.

The Portuguese centre-back, under contract until 2018, is now stuck at Anfield until the winter transfer window opens on January 1.

Despite a host of defenders being ahead of Ilori in the pecking order, Jurgen Klopp has included him in his 25-man Premier League squad list.

Ilori was signed from Sporting Lisbon for £7m by Brendan Rodgers in 2013 but did not make his debut for the club until January this year.
