Walsall are keen to hold onto Manchester City midfielder George Evans.
Saddlers manager Sean O'Driscoll revealed that his long-term future remains in doubt.
“In terms of Evans, I have spoken to Man City," he said.
“George is enjoying his football, but he's out of contract at Man City at the end of the season and that situation needs to be settled.
“If it was up to George I think he would stay here, but there are agents.
“His loan is up on January 9, so it's something we need to look at.
“A decision has to be made because it would be unfair on us as a club to leave it until the last minute and George, too, needs to know where he stands."
