Wales coach Giggs: Man Utd youngsters have me excited

Wales coach Ryan Giggs says he's "excited" about Manchester United's current youngsters.

Giggs spoke with The United Stand on the young players getting their chance at United.

He said, “I'm excited, because it's the Man United culture, seeing [young] players come in and do well, we've always had that.

“I was a bit different because I came into a team with Ince, Hughes, Bruce, Pallister, Robson - they were all men. These players aren't coming into a team like that.

“With the Class of 92, you'll hear Gaz Nev, you'll hear Butty, we didn't win as Alan Hansen famously said with kids. It was the older players that helped us through. You need that balance.

“You can have as many exciting young players as you want, but they're going to make mistakes. They're going to have loss of form, they're going to pick up injuries, so they need time.

“We were coming into experienced teams who have won the league, so it's a bit different for these young lads coming into the team at the moment."
