Wales coach Chris Coleman has no doubts about the potential of Chelsea superkid Ethan Ampadu.

Coleman believes Ampadu, who made his Chelsea debut in Wednesday's 5-1 Carabao Cup win over Nottingham Forest, is in the same mould as the Brazilian.

And the pair even have the same big hairstyle!

Ampadu, who only turned 17 last Thursday, became the youngest debutant for the Blues since Michael Woods in January 2007.

Coleman said: "Yes, he's very similar to David Luiz. Look at young Ampadu's style of play, he's a stylish centre-back or holding midfielder.

"He's very good on the ball, excellent in possession but he's a good defender as well.

"For someone so young he reads the game really well and that's what is really attractive for a club like Chelsea."

He added: "Ethan was always going to end up at one of the big clubs. It'll be up to him whether he is going to come through at Chelsea.

"Looking at him now, he's showing all the signs of being a top level defender."
