Wales ace Bale fires warning at Denmark: Don't underestimate us

Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale says Wales have a plan ahead of their Euro 2020 round of 16 showdown with Denmark.

The Danes beat Wales home and away in 2018 in the Nations League including 2-0 in Aarhus.

Bale, who spent last season on-loan at Tottenham, said: “The last time we played them we were maybe in a transition where younger players were coming in.

“I think our team now has got more players.

“We have got better with time and improved as a team and are more comfortable with each other.

“I feel that is the difference and hopefully we can prove that on the pitch that we are a much better team.

“I think we all knew what they could do as players otherwise they wouldn't be in the team.

“They have handled the situation and occasion very well.

“They have done fantastic, there are still games to go but I am sure they are going to keep performing and keep pushing themselves.

“We have done our homework this week and we have a game-plan.

“Come Saturday it's down to us on the pitch to do the job.

“We want to try and do as best as we can.

“I am looking forward to it, if we are not excited for these games we probably shouldn't be here.

“It is another big challenge, we know Denmark are a big team and well organised.

“They won't be underestimated by us and we are looking to put another good performance in.

“It is nice to keep testing yourself on the highest level and be in the big games.

“You enjoy these games.

“All of us are excited to get going.

“Hopefully we can put a great performance in and get the job done."
