Theo Walcott has urged Arsenal to leave last season consigned to the past.
Arsenal managed a 2nd-placed finish in the Premier League last season but it has to be said that the overall campaign was a huge disappointment for the Gunners.
Arsenal will surely be looking to mount a more genuine title challenge this season and attacker Walcott has now gone on to state that the Gunners cannot afford to dwell on the past failures ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.
Walcott told arsenal.com: "[Last season is] gone and it's in the past. I don't need to worry about this anymore.
"If we dwell on the past then we're not going to go anywhere.
"We've obviously got to look forward to the players coming in and we've got to do something differently this year. It's a massive year for the club itself and we know what we need to do.
"Let's be honest, we didn't really perform [at our best last season], especially in the final run-in, but we still managed to finish second.
"We've got it in us so we've got to make sure that we're at it every game now."
