Wagner satisfied as Huddersfield overcome Bolton

Huddersfield Town enjoyed a hard fought FA Cup win against Bolton Wanderers.

Huddersfield progressed to the fourth round after strikes by Rajiv van La Parra and Danny Williams resulted in a 2-1 victory at Bolton.

Terriers boss David Wagner praised his side's solidity after a number of changes were made to the starting XI, whist praising the performance of attacking midfielder Abdelhamid Sabiri.

He explained how his players will now have two days off before preparing for the Club's Premier League match against West Ham United on Saturday 13 January at the John Smith's Stadium.

“I love what I've seen today. This group hasn't played together, and we've had players who have had less training sessions – like Philip Billing who has only had two or three times with us after he was out for three months.

“He's only in training for a little bit more than a week after he was out more or less the last six months. Terence Kongolo who made his debut and only trained two or three times.

“This was a very solid, focused and concentrated performance. This looked professional today and everyone knows how difficult it can be in the cup if you're not on it; but the players were on it and I really liked what I've seen in front of another amazing away support."
