According to Dutch sources, RKC Waalwijk midfielder Anthony Obodai is wanted by MLS club Kansas City Wizards.

The 27-year old Ghanaian has represented his nation at U17, U20 and senior level and is a reported target for the Wizards who are keen for a defensive midfielder.

Obodai began his career in his homeland, starting with SC Adelaide and Liberty Professionals and youth level before moving to Holland in 2001 where he has been almost entirely ever since.

He has enjoyed stints with Ajax, a loan stint with Belgian club Germinal Beerschot and Sparta Rotterdam before joining Waalwijk in January 2007.
