Matej Vydra was delighted to score on his full debut as Burnley thrashed Bournemouth 4-0.
The former Derby striker struck the opener in a sensational victory over Bournemouth, which propelled the Clarets of the foot of the table with their first win of the season and gave the 26-year-old a first Premier League goal since he scored the last of his three on loan at West Bromwich Albion in 2013/14.
“It's a little bit of a long time ago, but still the same feeling and maybe a little bit more because I was fighting to get into the Premier League for so many years," said Vydra, whose poacher's finish was quickly followed by Aaron Lennon's first for the club.
“It's nice when you can have your first start for Burnley and score.
“I think it's amazing for everyone and I enjoyed that moment.
“I think both goals brought more confidence to the team. The crowd was brilliant and I think everyone was happy after those two minutes.
“In the second half they started keeping the ball a little bit more. We were waiting for a good opportunity to score more goals and it was brilliant from Barnesy."
