Vucinic wants Roma stay

Mirko Vucinic insists he sees his future with Roma.

Only a month ago, after a couple of poor matches, the Montenegrin captain was being booed by his own support.

"I know my true worth," he added. "The whistles at the Olimpico spurred me on. I tried not to hear them.

"The fans sometimes have to understand there are certain moments when a player playing for the team of his heart doesn't play well.

"But you also have to understand why a fan whistles."

Vucinic insists: "I have always said I looked to come to Roma, I am 50 per cent owned by them. Now I hope to become 100 per cent. The rest don't interest me."
