Vucinic urging Roma to go for Conte

Former AS Roma striker Mirko Vucinic wants to see Antonio Conte take charge of his old club.

The ex-Chelsea manager has been linked with Roma, where Claudio Ranieri is contracted to the end of the season.

Vucinic told Radio Centro Suono: "I still have many friends in Rome. I spent five unforgettable years in Rome, but I do not regret the transfer to Juve.

"I do not live with repentance. Conte? He is a winner. He has won whatever he has gone for.

"I would like to see him in Rome because Giallorossi's fans deserve to win. Conte has the right character to succeed in the main field."
