Roma striker Mirko Vucinic is looking to build on his winner in midweek against Sporting Lisbon.

"That goal will be important for me if I can maintain some consistency, otherwise it'll be as if I hadn't done anything. I hope this goal can open a new era for me at Roma," said Vucinic.

"For a striker when the goal arrives, everything becomes easier. If it does not come, you end up focusing more on the goal than the movement you need to do on the field. The more you think about a goal, the harder it is to score.

"This is the first Roma season in which I have been able to train regularly and this makes me feel more confident. I am here to improve. In the first months I wasn't in good shape and the media tore me to pieces, while I had to get used to a big city and a very different fanbase to Lecce. Now I am 100 per cent."
