Vlad Chiriches has penned new terms with Napoli.

The defender has extended his contract with Napoli until 2022.

Despite making just eight appearances all season, Chiriches is viewed as a crucial backup player for when Raul Albiol or Kalidou Koulibaly are absent.

The Romanian arrived from Tottenham Hotspur in 2015 as one of Maurizio Sarri's first signings and has played a total of 41 games at the San Paolo.
