Vitolo is delighted with his move to Atletico Madrid.
The midfielder has completed his six month spell with Las Palmas to formally sign with Atletico.
"I'm very grateful and proud to be part of one of the most important clubs in Europe," he said to reporters at his unveiling.
"I hope to continue making Atletico even bigger and I dedicate this presentation to my family, who are always there.
"The injury has been left behind as I've been doing work with the physios."
With Antoine Griezmann and Kevin Gameiro also vying for a spot up front for the Rojiblancos, a starting berth is by no means guaranteed for the Spaniard.
"I'm relaxed, the competition is good for everyone," he continued.
"My personal challenge has always been to play and help the team.
"It's true that there are players of great quality and at the end of the day it is the coach who will decide.
"I'm here to contribute to the team, and I am excited about this new stage of my career."
