Vitezslav Jaros pens new deal with Liverpool

Teenage goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros has signed a new long term contract with Liverpool.

The 18-year-old was included in the squad for the FA Cup replay victory over Shrewsbury Town in February after helping secure a penalty shoot-out win in the FA Youth Cup final against Manchester City the previous summer.

Jaros joined Liverpool in 2017 after being noticed on a club scouting mission in his native Czech Republic as a 16-year-old, reports the Liverpool Echo.

He appeared in the first-team pre-season friendly against Tranmere Rovers last July before suffering an elbow injury the following day that required surgery.

Jaros returned to end the season competing with Caoimhin Kelleher and Ben Winterbottom for a place in the Liverpool under-23 side.
