Vissel Kobe are eyeing Newcastle United striker Yoshinori Muto.
Chronicle Live says Muto had been linked with a move to Greece with Aris Salonika but the those talks dried up.
With Newcastle telling Muto he is not part of the plans, as the club try to trim the wage bill, the Magpies have tried to agree a settlement on his £54,000 per week wages.
Scottish Premiership side Celtic have agreed a deal for Kyogo Furuhashi which would pave the way for Vissel Kobe to get Muto.
The 29-year-old's farewell appearance looks to have been at York City as he failed to score in a 1-0 defeat.
