Virgil van Dijk has shut down talk of an imminent new deal at Liverpool.

The defender was said to be on the brink of penning new terms.

"There's nothing going on. That's how it is," Van Dijk told Sky Sports.

"I saw some rumours in the media that I was about to agree on a new contract or something like that.

"But I'm not in a dialogue at all about it at the moment. I just want to focus on the matches and then we have to see what the future brings."
