Virgil van Dijk at Anfield Saturday - but will Liverpool fans see him on pitch?

Virgil van Dijk is in line to be presented to Liverpool fans on Saturday.

The Liverpool Echo says Van Dijk will be at Anfield on Saturday to watch Liverpool's Premier League clash with Leicester City.

The club's new £75million signing won't officially become a Reds player until the transfer window opens on Monday but the Dutch defender is set to watch the visit of the Foxes from the directors box.

It's possible he could be presented to the Anfield crowd before kickoff, though it could be a gamble given Saints will still be owners of his registration.

Van Dijk is desperate to get started after sealing his dream move to Merseyside and will train with Jurgen Klopp's squad after the New Year's Day trip to Burnley when the focus will shift to next Friday's FA Cup tie with Everton.
